Dr. Maya Angelou once noted that, “The more you know your history, the more liberated you are.” This is the power of Special Collections and Archives, and one of the driving forces behind our desire to establish the Pride Resource Center Archive collection at Morgan Library. Our office has collected numerous papers and posters, documenting not only our office’s history on campus but also the diverse past of GLBTQ people as represented in northern Colorado, including the death of Matthew Shepard and the aftermath of his murder. These events have defined our history, and our path to further progress in the future.

Here in the Resource Center, Lory Student Center 232, we have a subset of the library chronicles, as well! Please visit either space.
