In this this course, new first-year students will learn about creating a successful transition to CSU. Through self- awareness, reflection, and planning, students will explore different aspects of the transition to college including academic success as well as personal and professional goal setting. Through these opportunities, students will be exposed to planning for their success at CSU and beyond. This course will provide a support network for new students to aid in building their community to enrich the first semester transition.

Discord is an app that allows you to chat with others who share an interest or community. Our server is CSU LGBTQ - and it's a great way to start meeting other CSU students and get connected to our community. Ask questions, meet potential roommates and friends, and stay in the loop about what's happening in Pride! We have a specific channel catered to our new incoming students - newstudent-fall2021.
Monday-Friday from 10 am - 12 pm and 1 pm - 3 pm beginning May 24 , you can drop-in to our Zoom Office Hours and chat with a member of the Pride Staff. We'd love to meet you, say hi, and answer any questions you have!
Queerientation: Get Connected to the Pride Resource Center!

Join the Pride Resource Center for Queerientation – our very own version of orientation to help welcome new & returning LGBTQIA+ students! Learn about our plans for the Fall Semester, how to get involved, and how to access resources. You’ll also get some time to ask questions to returning students about the ins and outs of being LGBTQIA+ at CSU. We look forwarding to welcoming you to Pride!
The Pride Community Retreat is a weekend-long experience that focuses on community, reflection, learning, healing, and fun - all centered in our LGBTQ+ experiences. This is a great way for new students to get connected to the LGBTQ+ community at CSU. This year our retreat is scheduled to kick-off LGBTQIA History Month in October!
The Rams in Q'mmunity Community & Mentoring Program is a semester long experience where students get connected with students with similar identities, learn more about social justice issues impacting the LGBTQIA+ community at large, and get connected with resources on campus that assist with their transition to CSU!
