LGBTQIA+ History Month

Date: October

October is LGBTQIA+ History Month! Each year, the Pride Resource Center participates in the nation-wide celebration of LGBTQIA+ History Month, centered around National Coming Out Day on October 11th. There will be great events happening all month long. 

Trans Awareness Week

Date: Mid-November

Trans Awareness Week, typically falling on the third week of November, is a week full of opportunities to connect with fellow members of the trans and nonbinary community, learn about trans experiences, and commemorate Trans Day of Remembrance. TDOR is internationally recognized on November 20th to honor those in the trans and nonbinary community who have lost their lives in the past year due to transphobia.

Lavender Graduation 

Date: Last Friday of April

Lavender Graduation, held in late April, celebrates the accomplishments and achievements of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer and ally undergraduate and graduate students. Colleges and universities across the United States participate in celebrations like this, and have celebrated Lav Grad (as it is affectionately known) for the last 15 years. Please join us in celebrating our graduates, scholarship recipients, and annual award winners.
