LGBTQ+ 101 Workshops

LGBTQ+ 101 Workshops provide knowledge and awareness on the diverse experiences within the LGBTQ+ community. Content includes an overview of terminology, identities, historical and current issues, and action points for better inclusion. LGBTQ+ 101 Workshops typically last between one and two hours, and are geared towards folks who are just beginning to learn about gender identity, sexual/romantic orientation, and LGBTQ+ issues and experiences.

  • The requesting group is responsible for reserving the location for their training.
  • Workshops typically last between 1 hour.

Special Request Workshops

We recognize that people across campus have different needs, levels of knowledge, and various skills related to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people and communities. We seek to ensure that our workshops fulfill your needs and objectives. For this reason, most of our workshops are individualized.

Examples of previous Special Request topics include:

  • Understanding Pronouns
  • Trans Identities 101
  • Masculinity in the LGBTQ+ Community


Please note:

  • The requesting group is responsible for reserving the location for their training.
  • We offer the opportunity for 60 minute, 90 minute, and 2 hour workshops. You can indicate your desired duration on the request form.
  • We will work with special requests on an individual basis.
